Ant Group's CEO, Han Xinyi, has circulated a company-wide memo detailing organizational restructuring and personnel appointments within Alipay. The restructuring involves the consolidation of the Alipay Business Division, Digital Payment Business Division, and Sesame Credit Business Unit into a newly formed Alipay Business Division. Wu Minzhi has been appointed as the President of this new division, while concurrently retaining his role as Ant Group's Chief People Officer (CPO).

Han Xinyi emphasized that this strategic adjustment is designed to streamline operational capabilities, enhance merchant services, and expedite the commercialization of intelligent agent technologies, thereby aligning with the evolving landscape of the AI era. Ant Group is making significant strides in its AI transformation journey, with R&D investments projected to soar to RMB 35.03 billion by 2025. These investments will be channeled into key areas, including general artificial intelligence, to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
