LG has reached an agreement with Microsoft to extend their strategic cooperation to encompass AI data centers, physical AI, and AI transformation areas. Microsoft is expanding its global data center footprint, and LG will explore opportunities to provide cooling, power supply, and IT infrastructure solutions. The two sides plan to initially focus on delivering high-capacity cooling solutions for AI data centers in key strategic locations, with subsequent expansion into the prefabricated data center sector. Additionally, LG will adopt Microsoft's AI and cloud platforms (including Copilot) across its entire workforce and leverage its cloud infrastructure to accelerate the development of physical AI.
