On September 17, Career International, in collaboration with the DeDao AI Learning Circle, unveiled the report titled “Where Are Job Opportunities Flowing in the AI Era? — The 2026 AI Talent Market Report”. Drawing on publicly accessible recruitment data and insights from real-world project execution, the report presents a thorough examination of the evolving AI talent landscape over the past three years. It delves into multiple dimensions, including industry sectors, geographical locations, types of enterprises, job roles, and skill prerequisites, culminating in ten pivotal insights. According to the findings, from the first half of 2024 to the first half of 2026, job postings related to AI witnessed a substantial surge of approximately 119%, with their proportion in the overall recruitment pool escalating from 0.72% to 2.01%, marking a nearly threefold increase compared to three years prior. Within the AI job spectrum, the share of core algorithm positions diminished from 68% to 45%, whereas application-oriented and related roles collectively accounted for 55%. Geographically, Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Shenzhen continue to serve as the principal epicenters for AI employment, while cities like Zhengzhou, Wuhan, and Suzhou have also cultivated unique AI job markets, leveraging their respective industrial strengths. Regarding enterprise types, roughly 84% of AI positions originate from companies where AI roles constitute less than 30% of their total workforce, with enterprises employing fewer than 500 individuals contributing nearly half of the AI recruitment demand. Furthermore, traditional sectors such as advertising/media/education/culture, healthcare, and finance are proactively augmenting their AI-related job offerings. The influence of AI transcends the mere creation of novel positions; it has also substantially elevated the demand for AI proficiency in roles spanning operations, marketing, and finance.
