This initiative, characterized by its community-driven approach to model construction, centers on everyday research scenarios, including argument comprehension and literature verification. It upholds the principles of open development, community data ownership, shared intellectual property rights, and open community governance. Its objective is to bring together academia and industry to collaboratively develop open-weight models and accompanying open-source tools for mathematical and scientific research. As of today, the initiative is actively seeking community partners to contribute funding, computing resources, professional expertise, and community-building efforts. The SAIR Foundation, established in 2025 as a non-profit research institution, was founded by Tao Zhexuan and guided by several eminent scientists. The institution is committed to advancing general and super artificial intelligence in a scientifically secure manner, with distinctive features such as fostering a network of top-tier scientists and spearheading shifts in research paradigms.
