On September 18, reports emerged that the Beijing Municipal Economy and Information Technology Bureau, in collaboration with the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, unveiled the "Action Plan for Accelerating the Development of the Synthetic Data Economy in Beijing (2026-2028)" on the same day. This plan outlines a strategy to nurture both universal and specialized AI agents, providing support to enterprises as they develop AI agent products tailored for individual consumers and institutional clients alike. Concurrently, it urges internet platform firms, AI agent service providers, and related entities to deepen their collaborations, thereby fostering the broad adoption of AI agents across diverse domains such as information consulting, commercial services, and lifestyle support. Furthermore, the plan zeroes in on pivotal sectors including industrial manufacturing, scientific research, biopharmaceuticals, and education, paving the way for AI agent applications with the goal of launching a series of exemplary application projects and advancing synthetic data application services throughout the industry.
