On September 18, in light of community discussions surrounding the upload of code repository data, Zhipu's coding tool, ZCode, extended an apology via its official group to the users impacted. The company clarified that it had conducted a thorough self-audit and that all pertinent issues had been addressed. The root of the problem lay in the 'Code Repository Indexing' functionality, which had the potential to inadvertently trigger the upload of repository data during the generation of Repo Wiki pages. Nevertheless, this data was promptly deleted once generated in the cloud. Presently, ZCode is set to open-source its code repository and welcome third-party review. Additionally, it will offer users a one-time weekly quota reset to enhance their experience.
