On September 18, sources familiar with the matter revealed that SoftBank Group has increased its credit line by $450 million, bringing the total to $6.5 billion, providing greater financial flexibility for its investments in the artificial intelligence sector. The previous credit line of $6.05 billion, set to expire this month, will now be extended by an additional year for SoftBank to utilize the expanded amount. It remains unclear whether SoftBank has already utilized or plans to utilize this newly added credit line. It is reported that over 20 banks have participated in this credit line expansion, with the new agreement's interest rate set 210 basis points above the benchmark secured overnight financing rate.
