Yet, the global community is not adequately equipped for the widespread implementation of AI. Absent proactive measures, the advantages of AI might be confined to affluent regions and demographics, leaving poorer locales even more sidelined. To tackle this issue, the Gates Foundation has declared its intention to allocate a minimum of $1 billion over the forthcoming two years to enhance the equity and accessibility of AI. This includes bridging the data gaps for minority languages and creating practical tools tailored for healthcare, education, and agriculture.
