AI infrastructure company Crusoe has completed a $3.9 billion funding round, reaching a valuation of $30.9 billion. The company, previously known for building a large-scale AI data center for OpenAI in Abilene, Texas, has now shifted to a strategy of smaller data centers. These centers are mass-produced in factories and transported via flatbed trucks for rapid deployment to locations with available power. This model is faster and more cost-effective, effectively addressing the issues of rising construction costs and delays in data center projects.
