On September 18th, investor documents revealed that NVIDIA (NVDA.O) has committed to investing $2 billion in Brookfield Asset Management's global artificial intelligence infrastructure fund, with the specific amount disclosed for the first time. Previously, Brookfield had announced NVIDIA as one of the cornerstone investors for the fund, with the Kuwait Investment Authority being the other. The fund focuses on AI infrastructure development, covering areas such as factories, dedicated power solutions, and computing infrastructure. Headquartered in New York, Brookfield has become a significant provider of private capital for AI infrastructure. It is currently raising $10 billion for its AI infrastructure fund and plans to raise approximately $50 billion for its infrastructure business over the next two years, with AI being integrated into each of its investment strategies. Additionally, Brookfield has also participated in the $500 billion AI computing infrastructure financing platform led by NVIDIA.
