Chinese tech giant Huawei has recently unveiled its ambitious plans to roll out next-generation artificial intelligence processors, ramping up its competition with NVIDIA in the computing power infrastructure arena. During Huawei's Full Connect Conference, Wang Tao, the rotating chairman of Huawei, disclosed that the company is slated to introduce two cutting-edge AI chips in 2027. Notably, the first of these, the 960DT, is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2027, while its counterpart, the Ascend 960PR, is anticipated to make its market debut in the third quarter of the same year. This launch timeline surpasses the industry's earlier projections, which had pegged the release for the fourth quarter of 2027.
