On September 17, 2026, Snap formally rolled out its personal AI application, Specs Intelligence. This innovative app will make its initial debut on the iPhone platform, with a phased expansion to the Mac platform to follow. Specs Intelligence is meticulously crafted to deliver proactive personal AI services. It achieves this by scrutinizing the applications and tools to which users grant access, thereby gaining insights into their objectives, priorities, and daily routines. Based on this analysis, the app actively furnishes pertinent information or proposes actions to assist users in managing tasks and facilitating long-term planning. Users can leverage this software independently, even without the accompanying Specs glasses. However, when used in tandem, Specs Intelligence can project data directly into the user's field of vision, thereby enhancing the overall experience with greater richness.
In addition, Snap has introduced a cellular protective case tailored specifically for the Specs glasses. This case enables users to utilize the glasses without the need for a Wi-Fi connection. The case can be purchased separately, or as part of a bundle with the glasses, for a combined price of $2,395. For Verizon users in the U.S., a monthly service fee of $10 will apply, while non-Verizon users will be charged $20. Corresponding plans will also be available from France's Orange and the UK's EE.
Snap has announced its intention to commence deliveries of the Specs glasses later this year. Interested users can reserve their pair by paying a $200 deposit on the official website. Furthermore, on October 1, Snap will host a special event in Los Angeles, providing attendees with an immersive product experience.
