At a press conference hosted by the State Council Information Office on September 17, Wang Xiaoliang, the head of the Network Audio-Visual Program Management Department at the National Radio and Television Administration, unveiled a striking statistic: In the initial eight months of this year, a staggering 430,000 micro-short dramas were released across the nation. This figure represents a 13-fold increase compared to the total number of micro-short dramas released throughout the entirety of last year. Impressively, over 90% of these dramas were generated by AI technology.
