The UI is designed with simplicity in mind, allowing the Siri icon to expand into an ‘Ask Siri’ panel complete with actionable suggestions, thereby minimizing cognitive effort for users.

iPad users will be able to activate this interface by hovering the Magic Keyboard’s pointer over selected text or by utilizing the Apple Pencil’s hover capability. Moreover, code from the iOS 27 Release Candidate (RC) reveals an interface branch tailored for the iPhone Duo, sparking speculation that the Apple Pencil’s hover function could serve as the primary means of interaction for invoking this UI on the device. Beyond that, the iPhone Duo is expected to offer deep integration of hover gestures with Siri AI, text editing tools, and contextual system suggestions, enhancing the overall user experience.
