Mustafa Suleyman, Microsoft's head of artificial intelligence, has warned that endowing AI tools like Anthropic's Claude with human-like characteristics could expose these systems to a higher risk of going out of control. The long-time AI development executive published an article on Wednesday, criticizing some statements in the guiding document behind Claude. He pointed out that Claude's 'Constitution' is ambiguous about whether the AI assistant possesses the attributes of a morally positioned entity, suggesting that the software might exhibit 'some functional emotions or feelings.'
