On September 16, OpenAI announced on Wednesday that it has launched artificial intelligence tools for advertisers and begun testing enterprise-sponsored chatbots to strengthen its position in the competitive AI-driven marketing market. It is reported that the newly introduced “Sponsored Agents” feature allows users to engage in conversations with agents sponsored by businesses within ChatGPT and access corporate websites after interacting with advertisements. OpenAI emphasized that these agents will be clearly labeled and distinguished from ChatGPT's independent responses and users' original chat content. Currently, this feature is being tested with select advertisers in the United States. Additionally, OpenAI has introduced the “ChatGPT Ads Manager” plugin, which enables advertisers to create, update, and analyze ad campaigns using natural language prompts, transform websites or ad campaign briefs into advertisements, and review performance for recommendations. The Ads Manager can also recommend copy and images based on advertisers' landing pages and ad objectives.
