On September 16th, during the 2026 ASEAN-Focused International Technology Transfer and Innovation Cooperation Conference, the inaugural batch of 14 artificial intelligence (AI) application scenarios for “cross-border project bidding,” tailored for ASEAN, was unveiled. These scenarios encompass seven ASEAN nations, including Brunei, Indonesia, and Laos. Beginning in March 2026, Guangxi will officially roll out this initiative, systematically organizing the scenario requirements of ASEAN countries, publishing project bidding lists, and aggregating cutting-edge technologies from across China for integration and refinement in Guangxi. Subsequently, these technologies will be precisely deployed to ASEAN countries for application and execution, establishing an innovation chain characterized by “R&D in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou – Integration in Guangxi – Application in ASEAN.” This strategic approach paves a novel route for China's AI technologies to expand globally and contribute to the development of a China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
