On September 16, technology news outlet The Information revealed that Instinct, a startup dedicated to developing personal AI assistants, is currently engaged in discussions for a new round of funding. The company aims to secure $1 billion at a valuation of around $10 billion. Previously, due to the capacity limitations of its AI agent service, which was initially accessible only to invited users, Instinct embarked on a new fundraising initiative as it expanded its service and surpassed 100,000 users. Sequoia Capital and Benchmark are reportedly leading the discussions for this funding round, although both the deal terms and the lead investors are still subject to change. This valuation marks a substantial increase compared to the previous funding round. According to data from PitchBook, less than a month ago, this startup, previously known as Spear Street Technology, successfully raised $250 million at a pre-money valuation of $2.25 billion, bringing its cumulative funds raised to date to $350 million.
