Ningbo Wending, a fully-owned subsidiary of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL), has announced its intention to invest 1.12 billion yuan in the establishment of the Xiamen Time Yiyuan Venture Capital Fund. This investment will secure a 19.4175% equity stake for Ningbo Wending in the fund. The fund's total capital commitment reaches 5.768 billion yuan, with a strategic focus on investments within the new energy industry chain, industrial applications of artificial intelligence and embodied intelligence, as well as advancements in scientific and technological innovation. It's noteworthy that this investment falls under the category of related co-investment, thereby exempting it from the necessity of obtaining approval from either the board of directors or the shareholders' meeting.
