On September 15, according to Politico, two EU diplomats and a draft agenda revealed that government officials from EU countries will gather in Brussels on Thursday to discuss formulating global rules to address the threats posed by new artificial intelligence models. The European Commission will provide an update on the latest developments in EU and international AI policies during the AI Committee meeting, along with a technical briefing on recent AI-related incidents. The committee, composed of representatives from EU member states, regularly monitors the progress of implementing the AI Act. A diplomat stated that the discussions will focus on related work within the G7, G20, and the United Nations.
