Having gone through the grueling ‘hitting the wall’ moment during the Wuxi Marathon, Sun Bo came to the realization that entrepreneurship demands a journey ‘inward.’ In 2025, he departed from Zhuhai Jingsi Measurement & Control, a company on the brink of an IPO with annual revenue surpassing 1.1 billion yuan, to establish Lingjing Zhiyuan in Shanghai. The new venture specializes in constructing the ‘brains’ for embodied intelligence, with an exclusive focus on the technological bedrock, steering clear of Body manufacturing (robot body production) and large-scale model development.

Sun Bo found that the majority of robot ‘brains’ available in the market were confined to controller-level solutions, highlighting a technological disconnect. Leading his team from the ground up, he engineered the ‘Dvořák’ ultra-heterogeneous computing system, drawing inspiration from biological brains and overcoming the latency constraints of general-purpose computing.

During its initial two years, the company dedicated itself to technological exploration, embracing a ‘hamburger’-style product design philosophy. Its first clients were secured through exhibition promotions, empowering small and medium-sized enterprises to adapt the system within a week—a stark contrast to the previous two to three months required. Lingjing Zhiyuan experienced exponential growth: its core product was dispatched for testing merely five days after the company’s inception, clinched its first order 18 days later, received bulk orders 10 days after that, with a single client placing orders for over a thousand units.

In July 2026, the company successfully completed angel and angel+ rounds of financing, amassing over 100 million yuan. Sun Bo attributed this achievement to the ‘Lingjing Speed’—characterized by being ‘fast, precise, and stable’—a result of his experience in foreign enterprises and entrepreneurship.

The company maintains a well-defined roadmap, categorizing talent into cutting-edge R&D and engineering sectors, with R&D personnel constituting 70% of the workforce, predominantly hailing from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Amidst escalating competition in the embodied intelligence foundation sector, Sun Bo predicts that only 2-3 companies will ultimately emerge as ‘platform + ecosystem’ enterprises, and Lingjing Zhiyuan aspires to be among them. As a devoted runner who derives strength of will from the sport, he now shifts his focus to ‘people,’ refining the company culture to be ‘grounded in goodwill, centered on technology, measured by efficiency, and driven by the pursuit of knowledge.’ He believes he is shaping the next generation of computing and envisions that in five years, the company will ascend to industry leadership, with his contributions acknowledged by society.
