According to the 'Shanghai Cyberspace Administration,' on September 14, at the opening ceremony of Shanghai's National Cybersecurity Awareness Week, China’s inaugural public service platform for generative AI safety assessment, named 'Smart Testing Expert,' was officially unveiled. This platform, developed by the Shanghai Information Security Evaluation and Certification Center under the guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Cyberspace Administration and the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, functions as a public service product, providing a distinctive Shanghai approach to AI governance within China. Its advanced safety evaluation module for large models is capable of automatically detecting risks, including the generation of illegal or non-compliant content, discrimination, bias, and factual inaccuracies. It then delivers evaluation results along with suggestions for improvement. The platform boasts an accuracy rate of no less than 95% in identifying non-compliant outputs from AI models.
