Data released by the Cyberspace Administration of China reveals that, during the period from July to August 2026, the CAC successfully completed the filing process for 124 new generative artificial intelligence services. Among these, seven services specifically catered to mobile-side users. Furthermore, applications or functionalities that directly harness the capabilities of these filed models—be it through API interfaces or alternative methods—are subject to registration by local cyberspace administrations. In this regard, a total of 133 new registrations were finalized. As of August 31, the cumulative figures stand at 1,112 generative artificial intelligence services having completed the filing process, and 731 applications or functionalities having secured registration.
