At the 2026 Inclusion・The Bund Summit, Han Xinyi, CEO of Ant Group, pointed out that agent-based commerce has reached a critical turning point, shifting from capability demonstration to a new type of commercial gateway that facilitates real transactions. This transformation marks a fundamental change in human-machine interaction, with users now directly entrusting agents to handle their life service needs. The public beta of AI Alipay "Abao", capable of completing complex transactions through natural language instructions, confirms this trend. Agent-based commerce has restructured traditional business logic, shifting the focus of merchant competition from traffic acquisition to demand understanding. Zhu Lin, General Manager of AI Payment at Ant Group, predicts that within five years, the proportion of natural interaction payments will exceed 50%, the scale of payments via smart devices will increase tenfold, and a complete ecosystem of commercial links will form. To achieve this transformation, three fundamental issues must be addressed: precise service invocation, secure and controllable transactions, and clear definition of liability in disputes. Additionally, a complete infrastructure must be established, with the payment process playing the role of a "trusted commitment engine." Alipay has set up a developer fund worth tens of millions to support innovations in life service agents and to promote the conversion of industry experience into reusable intelligent capabilities. In terms of technical architecture, a new type of "digital highway" must be established to ensure that the new payment system runs through the entire commercial process, making each link traceable, controllable, and manageable.
