On September 11, artificial intelligence company Zhipu launched a financing plan in Hong Kong, including approximately US$2 billion in new share placement and about US$3 billion in convertible bond issuance. Among these, 21.97 million new Hong Kong shares are planned to be issued, priced at HK$714 per share, representing a discount of about 10% from Friday's closing price. Simultaneously, zero-coupon convertible bonds worth RMB 20.14 billion, maturing in September 2027, will be issued, settled in US dollars, with an initial conversion price of HK$892.50. The proceeds will be used for research and development, computing resources and infrastructure, business expansion, strategic investments, potential acquisitions, working capital, and other corporate purposes.
