Unitree Technology: Fully Open-Sources Its General-Purpose Humanoid Foundation Model, Encompassing Code, Model, and Dataset

Unitree Technology has made a significant announcement—its latest-generation general-purpose humanoid robot foundation model, UnifoLM-WLA-1.0, has been completely open-sourced. This means that the code, models, and datasets are all accessible at the same time. Built upon extensive general-purpose multimodal perception data, the model incorporates interaction-centric world modeling technology. This integration substantially boosts its spatial perception and comprehension abilities. In a series of embodied reasoning benchmarks, the model showcased remarkable performance. It not only surpassed both domestic and international open-source models but also stood toe-to-toe with leading closed-source models. Real-world evaluation outcomes reveal that a single instance of this model can effectively coordinate 64 tasks. These tasks span both tabletop operations and full-body mobile maneuvers, demonstrating the model's cross-task and cross-end-effector generalization capabilities. The model boasts 6 billion parameters and has been trained using over 5 million ER training samples, along with roughly 2,500 hours of real-world robot data. Moreover, the project's homepage has now been officially launched.
