On the 9th (local time), Amazon made an exciting announcement: Prime Video has rolled out a cutting-edge AI lip-sync feature. Leveraging the power of artificial intelligence and visual effects technology, this function meticulously synchronizes actors' mouth movements with the dubbed audio, ensuring a seamless viewing experience. At present, this feature is exclusively available for the English-dubbed version of the German series 'The Aristocrats: The Gap Between Us'. However, Amazon has ambitious plans to extend its application to a broader range of film and television productions in the near future.
Prior to this, Prime Video had already experimented with AI-assisted dubbing technology across 12 film and television titles. Now, this advanced feature is accessible to global subscribers for the first two seasons of the series, with the upcoming third season also set to incorporate it. In a similar vein, Meta and YouTube have recently introduced AI auto-dubbing functions complete with lip-sync capabilities. This allows the creators depicted in the visuals to appear as if they are speaking directly in the viewers' chosen languages, enhancing the immersive experience.
