On September 8th local time, AI programming startup Cognition AI announced the completion of its Series E funding round, raising $2 billion with a company valuation reaching $48 billion. This funding round was led by new investors a16z and Accel, with participation from existing investors such as Founders Fund, General Catalyst, and Avenir. Cognition AI disclosed that since its previous funding round in May, its annualized revenue has grown from $492 million to nearly $900 million.
