In the initial six months of 2026, the consumer electronics component sector exhibited marked disparities in performance. The surge in demand for AI computational capabilities, coupled with the swift integration of edge AI, has spurred significant growth in the performance of companies operating within AI servers, optical modules, and AI-enabled smart terminal domains. Nevertheless, owing to the repercussions of escalating storage costs and the sluggish traditional demand for smartphones and PCs, enterprises with a substantial share of their business tied to these areas are encountering growth hurdles. Among the 89 publicly traded companies that have released their semi-annual financial results, 65 have witnessed a year-on-year increase in revenue. However, only 33 have experienced a corresponding rise in net profit on a year-on-year basis.
