According to sources familiar with the matter, Anthropic PBC is close to finalizing an agreement to increase its revolving credit facility to $15 billion, clearing a hurdle ahead of its highly anticipated public filing for an initial public offering (IPO). Morgan Stanley is set to lead the credit facility, with Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and Citigroup also participating—all four banks are also the primary underwriters for the IPO. Previously, Anthropic hoped to raise funds through this IPO on a scale matching or even exceeding that of SpaceX. Companies typically complete revolving credit facilities before formally finalizing the roles of IPO underwriting banks. Additionally, Barclays and Wells Fargo are expected to play significant roles in the loan.
