Physics AI research and development firm ZINOVA, in partnership with construction robotics company RIC Robotics, has successfully showcased a scaled-down construction process of a concrete overturning slab, utilizing the TRON 2 dual-arm embodied robot from LimX Dynamics. This demonstration encompassed crucial steps like formwork support, multi-layer steel bar placement, and tying, thereby demonstrating that embodied robots can employ existing tools to engage in intricate construction tasks. ZINOVA is dedicated to researching tool intelligence and has created a system that can be adapted across various tools, tasks, and forms, with the construction industry serving as its inaugural application scenario. To cater to construction requirements, ZINOVA explored novel configurations based on TRON 2, striking a balance between scene adaptability, human-robot collaboration, and compliance efficiency. As the cornerstone of LimX Dynamics' platform strategy, TRON 2 offers hardware, development, and model training support to industry innovators. Looking ahead, ZINOVA intends to extend its tool intelligence technology to manufacturing and other sectors, while LimX Dynamics will persist in enhancing platform capabilities, collectively propelling the growth of the embodied intelligence application ecosystem.
