On September 2, Moonshot AI made an announcement stating that the Kimi API has been upgraded to natively support OpenAI's Responses API format as well as Anthropic's Messages API format. This enhancement is designed to cater to users' requirements for seamless integration of the Kimi API with Codex and Claude Code. Now, users of Codex or Claude Code can effortlessly establish a direct connection to models like kimi-k3, kimi-k2.7-code-highspeed, kimi-k2.7-code, and kimi-k2.6 via a custom model provider. This eliminates the necessity for any format conversion or the configuration of local proxy settings.
