On September 1, during the 23rd UBS Securities China A-Share Seminar, Dong Fangming, Head of China Global Financial Markets at UBS, remarked that propelled by a confluence of risk mitigation, enhanced policy expectations, and favorable earnings trajectories, the A-share market is poised to enter a fresh phase of recovery and revaluation. He highlighted that, from a macroeconomic perspective, additional incremental policy measures are anticipated in the latter half of the year. Strategic technology sectors, such as artificial intelligence, alongside traditional industries like consumption and real estate, are expected to receive heightened policy support. Innovation and high-end manufacturing are transforming China’s foreign trade landscape, with the AI industry chain emerging as a pivotal growth driver for China’s imports and exports. Dong Fangming posits that through targeted R&D investments, innovative model architectures, and open-source collaboration, China’s AI industry chain is reshaping the global AI competitive landscape with superior cost efficiency.
