OpenClaw 2.0 has experienced its most extensive update to date. However, due to untimely execution, it is facing challenges in reversing its downward trajectory. Initially, OpenClaw swiftly rose to prominence by enabling users to utilize Claude subscriptions for cost-effective access to large model tokens. Nevertheless, after Anthropic sealed this loophole, user expenses skyrocketed. This, combined with the founder's departure and recurring security concerns, resulted in a substantial loss of users. Despite its groundbreaking Harness architecture, which has been widely embraced within the industry and aligns closely with the standardization framework of Linux Foundation-affiliated organizations, shaping the Agent ecosystem, it has not garnered market approval. In the Chinese market, Feishu CLI has swiftly captured market share with its integrated model, which is more tailored to domestic office environments. Although OpenClaw 2.0 has seen enhancements in installation, interface, and security, and now offers a shared cloud session functionality, it has not tackled the fundamental challenge of user retention. Its diverse range of application scenarios has already been claimed by other products, leaving only industry insights and lessons to be gleaned.
