The Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with six other departments, has issued implementation guidelines aimed at fostering the growth and enhancement of commodity consumption. These guidelines emphasize the need to bolster research and development in critical technologies and core components, advocating for a broader application of brain-computer integration, artificial intelligence, and similar technologies in the realm of age-friendly products and rehabilitation aids. Concurrently, there will be a concerted effort to amplify the promotion of premium products listed in the 'Catalogue for the Promotion of Elderly Care Products.' This will pave the way for the introduction of products like exoskeleton robots, electric wheelchairs, and smart mattresses, along with health monitoring devices, toilet and urinary care aids, transfer assistance tools, and bathing aids, into the residences of the elderly. Furthermore, the guidelines explore the possibility of establishing a certification system for elderly care products and encourage commercial distribution entities to create dedicated sales zones for age-friendly products, thereby enhancing their accessibility in supermarkets, hotels, communities, hospitals, pharmacies, and elderly care facilities.
