The General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released a notice announcing a dedicated program to foster the growth of artificial intelligence (AI) application service providers. This program aims to encourage widespread adoption by guiding service providers to create modular and standardized solution packages. These packages are specifically designed to meet high-frequency, essential, and reusable business needs, resulting in the development of "small, fast, lightweight, and precise" AI product services.
By utilizing platforms such as industry alliances, the program will streamline the matching of supply and demand within specific industries and actively promote service providers. At the same time, it will open up real-world scenarios to involve service providers in practical applications. This approach will drive technological R&D and facilitate the commercialization of research outcomes, ultimately leading to the creation of benchmark solutions.
The program will also explore models such as “first purchase, first use” and risk compensation to increase the procurement of services. These models are expected to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of AI model and intelligence utilization across various industries. Additionally, in eligible regions, the program will establish “going global” service systems to promote high-quality AI projects on the international stage.
