Google is in the process of progressively introducing a novel search result redirection system. Previously, when users clicked on search results, they were redirected straight to the intended webpage. However, now the link may initially route through an intermediary address that incorporates the 'google.com/goto' parameter, before finally landing on the target webpage. Google has officially verified to the media that this modification is presently in the phase of implementation.
