He stated that AI could become the greatest equalizer in history or the most severe source of injustice, but there is currently no evidence that national leaders, experts, and communities are adequately addressing these challenges. Gates called for the establishment of national and international coordinating bodies to manage the various upheavals during the transition to the AI era.
