On Thursday, there was a new development in the case of Linwei Ding, a former Google software engineer accused of stealing AI trade secrets, as a federal judge overturned some of his convictions. Ding was charged with stealing a large amount of Google's AI trade secrets to assist two Chinese tech companies and was previously convicted of seven counts of economic espionage and seven counts of trade secret theft.
