If the deal had been successful, it would have been SpaceX's second major acquisition in recent months aimed at gaining a leading position in the AI field. Currently, the acquisition negotiations between the two parties have been paused, but discussions about cooperation are still ongoing, including the possibility of Cognition using SpaceX's computing capabilities. Cognition, which was valued at $26 billion in a funding round in May this year, has now held preliminary talks with investors for a new round of financing, with a valuation of at least $40 billion.
