Unitree Robotics, the pioneering A-share listed humanoid robot enterprise, made a successful debut on the STAR Market and commemorated the occasion with an appreciation luncheon. Shen Nanpeng, the esteemed founder of Sequoia China, was in attendance and engaged in a delightful exchange with Wang Xingxing, the chairman of Unitree Robotics. During the group photo session, Wang Xingxing maintained a composed demeanor, yet his face lit up with a wide smile, exuding a sense of ease and relaxation as he raised a toast. As one of the earliest institutional investors in Unitree Robotics, Sequoia China released the opinion letter from its initial investment back in 2019. In this letter, Wang Xingxing was described as a quintessential 'outlier' and a driving force behind the promotion of quadruped robots in China. He was given a commendable score of 9 in both the 'outlier' and 'vision' categories. The letter further disclosed that during the investment decision-making meeting, Wang Xingxing had articulated a grand vision: to develop robots of varying scales and to employ robots in the manufacturing process of other robots.
