On August 18th, the Chengdu Humanoid Robot Innovation Center proudly announced the creation of the world’s inaugural fully autonomous (requiring no remote control) robot task execution system, which incorporates complex language instruction sets and an ultra-long field of view. This groundbreaking system addresses the challenge of enabling robots to make autonomous decisions and plans in unfamiliar environments, allowing them to transition from laboratory settings to adapt seamlessly to complex and dynamic real-world situations. The related technology has already secured invention patents.

The system integrates state-of-the-art technologies, such as the World Model and Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models, into a cohesive framework. A demonstration video reveals that the "Chengdu-made" ultra-lightweight humanoid robot, named "Gongga-1," successfully completed three sequential subtasks in a fully autonomous and stable manner after receiving a single complex instruction. This was achieved without any remote control or staged setup, fully demonstrating its remarkable autonomous operational capabilities.
