Just eight days after the launch of Muse Spark 1.2, Yu Jiahui, a core researcher from Meta's superintelligence lab, declared his resignation to embark on an entrepreneurial venture. With a specialization in multimodal research, Yu previously held positions at Google and OpenAI before joining Meta a mere 14 months ago. To date, Meta has witnessed the departure of more than 200 esteemed researchers.

Since the commencement of large-scale staff reshuffles in May this year, a pervasive atmosphere of uncertainty has enveloped Meta, leading numerous engineers to actively pursue fresh opportunities. Seizing this opportunity, firms such as Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google have been actively recruiting talent from Meta. Despite Meta's attempts to retain staff through generous counteroffers, a significant number of recipients have still opted to leave, signaling that restoring organizational trust will be a time-consuming endeavor.
