On August 17, news emerged that Alphabet, the parent company of Google, is set to issue bonds in Australia for the first time, with the goal of raising approximately 5 billion Australian dollars (equivalent to about $3.6 billion). The company is considering issuing bonds with four different maturity periods, with the longest maturity potentially extending up to 20 years. The preliminary guidance price for the bond issuance is anticipated to be unveiled as early as August 18 local time. Earlier this month, Alphabet successfully issued bonds worth $25 billion in the United States, and throughout this year, it has also ventured into bond issuances denominated in Swiss francs, British pounds, euros, Canadian dollars, and Japanese yen.
