AI programming startup Cursor proclaimed on its official blog that it has formally been integrated into SpaceX. Earlier, in April of this year, SpaceX entered into a collaborative development pact with Cursor and obtained an option to acquire Cursor at a valuation of $60 billion. Two months subsequent to SpaceX's public listing, both entities affirmed the advancement of the acquisition, and the deal was officially consummated on August 14. The objective of this acquisition is to assist SpaceX in keeping pace with its rivals in the realm of AI programming. The Cursor team will be granted access to a substantial quantity of advanced AI chips amassed by SpaceX, thereby bolstering their model development capabilities.
