The US tech giant is actively raising funds for artificial intelligence (AI) investments, with Google's parent company Alphabet hiring banks to prepare for its first Australian dollar bond issuance. According to an email statement from underwriter ANZ Bank, Alphabet plans to issue bonds with four maturities, with the longest reaching up to 20 years. Previously, Alphabet issued $25 billion in bonds in the US dollar market this month and also issued bonds in Swiss francs, British pounds, euros, Canadian dollars, and Japanese yen in 2026. Additionally, the company recently raised nearly $85 billion through equity financing.
