Following a year-long testing phase, Microsoft has announced its intention to formally cease the COPILOT() function service within Excel on September 14, 2026. Initially slated for a comprehensive launch in January 2027, this functionality, after undergoing a year of evaluation with Frontier and Insider users, has led Microsoft to the decision to terminate the project.
