For a fee of $8, users can instantly replenish their depleted quotas, eliminating the need to wait for an automatic reset. OpenAI has clarified that this initiative is designed to enhance and refine the user product experience. Prior to this, OpenAI has already offered several perks, including complimentary Codex quota resets, and has more recently lifted usage restrictions for its paying ChatGPT Work and Codex customers. In the competitive landscape of AI programming tools, OpenAI and Anthropic are locked in a fierce rivalry. Both companies vie for user attention by offering free or discounted quotas, with their leaders also engaging in interactions on social media platforms. This past May, both entities announced consecutive expansions of free access to their tools or boosts in usage quotas.
