The document explicitly outlined that Apple Intelligence could seamlessly collaborate with Alibaba’s QianWen model. However, this document has since been removed, and the original link is now inactive. According to prior reports, the QianWen extension is compatible with macOS 26.6 or later versions and can be activated under any of the following circumstances: residing in mainland China with an Apple account region set to mainland China, using a Mac version designated for mainland China, or being physically present in mainland China without logging into an Apple account. On macOS, users can configure QianWen via the "Extensions" option under "Apple Intelligence and Siri" in "System Settings," which requires logging into a QianWen account or using Apple Sign-In. The QianWen extension includes a writing tool function, facilitating writing and rewriting tasks in applications such as Notes and Mail. It also integrates with Siri, enabling users to access information through Siri, such as requesting QianWen to compose poems or summarize documents. Upon confirmation, Siri will prompt users to decide whether to utilize QianWen to fulfill their request.
