On August 7, reports surfaced indicating that SpaceX’s acquisition of Cursor, an AI programming tool company, is on track to be finalized as early as next weekend. Over the coming months, the Cursor brand is expected to be gradually phased out, with new products potentially adopting the Grok brand. It is understood that Cursor’s upcoming general-purpose intelligent agent product may be branded as Grok Bot, although existing tools will retain their current names for the time being. The transaction is currently awaiting regulatory approval and is projected to be completed no later than the end of this month. Earlier, in June, SpaceX had announced its intention to acquire Cursor for $60 billion.
